All Forest Camps through Valley Forest School are led by Outdoor Educators who have been through rigorous training and are well educated on the topics of camp. ​​

Camps are from 9-2:30

June 1-3- Farm Camp

Location: Farm School, Fincastle, VA

Ages 6-12- $225

Ages 3-5- $175 (June 1 and 3 only)

Farm Camp is designed for those who want to gain knowledge and experience on the farm with the animals, garden, trout creek, and other introductory farm hands-on experience. Woodsdale Farm has horses, pigs, cows, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, dogs, and cats. Campers during Farm Camp will get a chance to spend time learning and caring for each of them. ​​

June 8-11- Horse Camp

Location: Farm School, Fincastle, VA

Ages 6-12- $355

Ages 3-5- $200(June 8 and 10 only)

Horse Camp is designed for those who want to go beyond the basics of brushing the horses on the farm and desire to gain knowledge and hands-on experience with horses. Woodsdale Farm has 11 horses ranging from mature Miniature Horses to young Quarter Horses and a Tennessee Walker. Children at horse camp will get to ride the horses multiple times throughout the week and expand the length of time and distance on the horse as the week progresses and knowledge and skills progress.

June 15-18- Rodeo Camp

Location: Farm School, Fincastle, VA

Ages 6-12- $300

Ages 3-4- $175(June 15 and 17 only)

Giddy up, cowgirls and cowboys! This week is packed full with rodeo inspired activities. Students will learn how to lasso, bull rope, horseback ride, bareback ride, bull ride(practice on a barrel bull), quick reflex drills and obstacle courses, sheep catching, decorate the horse's manes, and mutton busting. And for the littlest ones- a stick horse race.

June 22-25- Gardening and Creeking Camp

Location: Farm School, Fincastle, VA

Ages 6-12- $300

Ages 3-5- $175(June 22 and 24 only)

The summer garden is flourishing! Each day will be filled with something new in the fully organic garden. Campers will get to pick and create their own fresh flower bouquets from the garden, harvest and eat delicious snacks from the garden, learn to safely use tools like a weed whacker and lawn mower, dig in the soil, plant seeds, paint stones to hide in the garden, and cool down in the creek at the end of the day.

June 29- July 1- Rodeo Camp

Location: Farm School, Fincastle, VA

Ages 6-12- $225

Ages 3-5- $175(June 29 and July 1 only)
